My name is Dr. Corey J. Gilbert. I provide Christian based counseling for
individuals, couples, and families. I have been
in private practice for over
five years, teaching, ministering, preaching, and
counseling all ages.
I
grew up as a Missionary Kid in Chile, South America.
I
attended Ouachita Baptist University, receiving a Bachelor in Music
and a minor in Christian Counseling.

then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort
Worth, Texas where I received a
Master
of Arts
in Marriage
and Family
Counseling
(MAMFC) and a
Master
of Arts
in Christian
Education
(MACE).
I defended my dissertation May 2006 and received my Ph.D. in
Family Psychology.
I am Licensed by the
State of Texas & the State of Georgia to practice as a
Licensed
Professional
Counselor
(LPC).

am a Certified Mediator and have training
in Biblical Counseling.
My dissertation is on Single adults and their sexual experiences in
dating comparing across religious associations and level of church
involvement.
My
wife’s name is Kelly. We were married July 12th, 2003 in Dallas,
Texas.
We had our first child, a son in early 2006...
His name is Alex Chandler.
Our second child, a son, Blaize Michael was born in early 2008.
